Hedera Hashgraph, which develops and provides Hashgraph DLT (Distributed Ledger Technology), announced on November 16 that software company ServiceNow has now joined the ranks of Hedera’s decentralized Governing Council.

As per the announcement, the partnership between ServiceNow and Hedera will enable reliable workflows that leverage distributed ledger technology to provide a digital transformation (DX) experience that transcends organizational boundaries.

ServiceNow is a cloud-based platform that manages workflow and improves operational efficiencies for enterprises and organizations. ServiceNow will jointly work with Hedera to manage and extend Hedera’s capabilities and offer stable decentralization over public networks.

Tasker Generes, Global Head of Strategy and Transformation at ServiceNow said:

“ServiceNow is committed to building a connected economy where work flows beyond the boundaries of an individual business. We are thrilled to pursue this bold future with a visionary partner like Hedera.”

Mance Harmon, CEO of Hedera, added:

“Companies across industries will be able to use the Now Platform and Hedera Consensus, Token, and Smart Contract Services within their applications, speeding the adoption of DLT in four main areas of digital workflows – process & data integrity, tokenization, decentralized identity, and multi-party business processes. ServiceNow’s participation on the governing council will accelerate the adoption of Hedera as the DLT of choice for enterprises.”

Hedera Hashgraph has taken several steps to diversify its steering council and brought on many DX-related companies and tech giants such as Google and IBM to its steering council. In addition, the platform recently added Singapore’s DBS Bank as the first Southeast Asian bank to the governing body.
